Blessing Requirements

Why Preparation Matters

The Blessing is a sacred covenant between you, your future spouse, and Heavenly Parent. It’s more than a ceremony — it’s the beginning of a life built on true love, faith, and responsibility.

To receive the Blessing with sincerity and readiness, each candidate is asked to fulfill certain spiritual, educational, and lifestyle conditions.

General Requirements for All Candidates

✅ Basic Conditions:

Must be a registered member of FFWPU
Maintain a pure lifestyle leading up to the Blessing
Attend Blessing education workshops and pass assessments
Study the Divine Principle (minimum completion of Level 1 content)
Complete and submit the Blessing Candidate Application Form
Receive guidance from a BFD representative or mentor

Additional Requirements

For First Generation Candidates:

Minimum age of 21 (or with special approval for younger candidates)
Spiritual parent guidance recommended
Matching interview and/or support from BFD

🔹 For Second Generation Candidates:

Registered in the 2nd Gen record system
Fulfilled purity and reporting guidelines
Must receive matching education and parental involvement
Receive approval through national BFD channels

🔹 For Already Married Couples Seeking the Blessing:

Attend couple counseling or guidance session
Fulfill requirements for forgiveness and rededication
Report to BFD
